CARMEL - CONTEMPLATIVE PRAYER AND LIFE
A
Life of Prayer - Seen as Friendship with God
A
Service of Love: hidden with Christ in God
to pray and suffer with the Church and for the Church,
and for all mankind.
Our
Rule tells us to pray without ceasing -
Mental
prayer, in my opinion,
is nothing else but falling in love with Christ,
frequently conversing in secret with him who we know loves us.
This will always be the aim of our nuns -
to be alone with God alone,
not striving after anything but to please him,
that their prayers may avail for his glory and the good of his Church.
-
here all my hopes converge!
