SYMBOL: Unity Cross
AIM: Mary's unity with Jesus is our contemplative model as we dedicate
ourselves, offering adoration, intimate prayer and intercession for the
mission of the Church. The quiet trusting in God that ruled Mary's life,
one with the poor and open to the needs of others is the ideal that we try
to live. This is carried out in the ordinary experiences of everyday life.
TRAINING: Four years; annual vows taken for three years before final
commitment.
Obedience: The approved rule is lived directly under the jurisdiction
of the Most Rev Stephen Brislin, Archbishop of Cape Town.
Chastity: Single or widowed women are eligible to make the vow of
chastity.
Poverty: Members work to support themselves and can choose where to
live. Temporal goods are administered according to Gospel values.
